Statutory career's information, advice and guidance services is delivered in-house at ±«Óãtv by our Careers Advisor, Angela Turner. Her role is to provide independent and impartial information, advice and guidance to our students regarding their career aspirations.

This enables students to explore their post 16 options and future career pathways with the sixth forms, colleges, apprenticeship and other learning providers. Angela is fully trained to Level 6 and is a registered member of the CDI (Careers Development Institute.)

During Year 11, every student is offered a careers guidance interview to discuss their interests, ambitions and the options opened to them. Following this interview, they will be given a written summary with relevant information and actions required. Our students will also be seen in year 9 to prepare them for their options, and again in year 10 to begin exploring post-16 choices.

Angela attends ±«Óãtv every Tuesday and Wednesday and will be present at key events throughout the year to provide careers advice and guidance to all students, as well as attending parents’ evenings. Angela can be contacted by phone via our main reception or emailed directly via careers@aspire.fcat.org.uk
